But he’s also on the two local news stations! What the Fuck, Man? I can’t even get the weather or updates on traffic or all the wildfires.

I agree completely. This is a minor story that should be on page 3 somewhere. I don’t get the wall-to-wall coverage. Maybe because I don’t give a damn if he stays in or gets out. I just don’t care.

OK, fully admitting I don’t keep up to date on OJ news. Last I heard about OJ was during the 90s, and I’m pretty sure he was famously acquitted. Now he’s in jail? What happened?

I am also in the Nevada capitol and this morning I heard one of the Reno news dudes talk about how all the trucks were lined up to show it live. the attitude seemed to be, aren’t we impressive?

The news stations are loving this. It appeals to the common viewer and fills screens with eyeballs. They’ll milk this story for a couple of days but it’ll probably be dead by Saturday. Can you hold out that long, Gatopescado? Know that we’re here to (virtually) support you.

It was OJ who put cable news on the map and inspired the whole history of reality tv. This is just Cable paying homage to its mythic heroes.

Wall to wall OJ is how I know who Greta Van Susteren is. That shit was everywhere, all the time during his trial. There’s a radio dj in Chicago named Roe Conn who I am familiar with for the same reason. A star born of the OJ trial.
