Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy.
It’s just that sometimes I get wistful that I’ve no son or daughter about to give away in marriage or give me a grandchild, or to make me proud by graduating college. Sometimes I wish I had someone I’ve hugged and held, slept next to, argued anbd laughed with for 20 years.
I don’t see that as a prison.
