I saw it in the Big Town of Wind (you know, the one by the Big Lake) back in the day. Great show! I laughed. I wowed. I rocked. There’s no plot though, so what is there to spoil?
What did you eat?

Can’t say - it’s too long of a word, but it is in a s’more
Goo from the marsh? Flat health quack wheat snack?
My wife starts new job Feb. 1. Need to find house to rent. Much things to pack. Rent a truck? Hire strong men? I’m too old for this s#1+! Too much stuff! Sheesh! Kill me now!
Not graham based or brown hued. It was a white tube shape & was thrown to my pie hole
How come pie hole & corn hole are ends away?
Quick, fix post: last word in first phrase breaks rule.
Flat health quack wheat snack! I love it!! I use those to make pie crust. And, I use them to make a pot snack - grind up my pot, heat it up just so, mix it with cream of ground nuts & salt, spread on snack, and there you are. Gets me mad high, tastes like shit. I want to puke and have to choke it down. A fruit helps - the long fruit shaped like a C, that you have to peel.
Yes, that would work! (But let us not leave out the "a"s and "the"s…we are not cave folks!)
So then … “the short sound with the mouth” could be the thread name? That works. I like it. Or we can swap out the word “the” and use “a.” Take your pick.
The One Syll Thread is more clear, though I know “syll” is not a word.
I like them both!
I see that “phone” is shown by some sites–it has the same sense as that word in the thread name. It could throw some off, though, as it is not clear which thing we mean by it.
The short word thread would work.
This day, I grade work from my World Lit class. Most of it is good, some not so much. Now I make a Greek dish – shrimp, herbs, cheese – and drink some wine. Next day, I go to meet the kids in my Bald Dude Who Wrote Plays class and hear their work. It is a good time of year.
(This is not so hard as I would have thought it would be.)
Get up, make tea. Browse news on screen thing. Learn that Bad Guy fled. Good guys come in? Hmm. Wait and see.
Make posts to buds on screen thing.
Wash clothes. And sheets.
Read old law in French. Fix words in old law in French on screen thing. Head hurts. Eat soup. Go to bed. Wait for snow and rain storm. Ice forms on street.
I don’t think “short word thread” works too well. Some words that fit this thread are kind of long, like “strengths”. But some words that don’t fit the thread are quite short. I can’t name them here of course, but I can think of one that’s the name of a fish that you can eat raw. It has just three glyphs: it starts with an “a” and ends with an “i” and has just one more glyph. I can think of yet one more word that’s in the name of a play that you must know; the most well known guy who wrote plays wrote this one; the play’s name has four words; the first word is “Much” and the next one is a word of three glyphs that starts with “A” and ends with “o”, but it does not fit in this thread.
You are brave to write such a long post with much thought and care. I could not do that.
But I hope to have much more talk in this thread. I hope a lot of those who post will see this thread and feel they must add their thoughts.
To write with words of just one beat,
Each thought feels stuck, each choice a feat.
I strain and bend to make it right,
Yet still, the lines don’t feel as bright.
I wish for terms that break the chain,
But rules say no; the choice brings pain.
With each word’s sound, I toe the line,
The work feels hard, though it must shine.
To craft this form and make it flow,
With strict rules fixed, the stress will grow.
To write with beats split one by one,
And rhyme as well? The fight’s not fun.
A New Day
On this day, I have to work. I work at a place that helps folks who want to get off drugs. My job is … well, I don’t know for sure. I just do what needs to be done. It will be a full day. Call here, call there. Put out this fire, put out that fire. Help him with this, help her with that.
When I get off work, I need to stop by the pot shop (could not do it the first time I wrote in this thread, they were closed) to get some oil. Then I’ll get high and play World of Craft of War. Should be a good day (knock on wood).
It rains here. I need to pay bills. I need to look up things to talk next day with group that plans for town. I should clean house; but might not. I might cook.
I clap for the third post up!! Well done!
I work from home and things are slow, so the day is not bad. Rain and clouds are no fun, though. No plans this eve; I will skip a work awards thing. I’ll just watch shows, and read a book on a toy I like to build. But with a smile, I think of the jazz I will go hear the night of the 10th.
