To me it is an edge case. Sounds to me like “fay-uhld” or “fay-əld” is two but “fayl” is one. Folks who write not-prose oft use “fail’d” to show a change in sound or pace from plain old “failed”. Were it but one, there would be no need for the “fail’d” trick. Or so I think. Or think I think.
Start to see some green on lawn but it was white for dream song (sung by BIng) on day two five. Went out last eve to look at lit up pads before light comes down; some were great & some spent a lot of coin to fill their lawn with big pump ups.
Took morn off; got up early to see sun rise (sep chat on that to come) but left dark specs at home as I did not need them when I left. (D’oh!) & take pup to vet. Went to store that sells round bread with hole in it two times this morn, once on way out & once on the way back; next one had egg & curd on it. Vet took some of the join her leg stuff out of her post them cut her but she has to go back on Mon to get the rest out. She still has to look like a lamp til then. Poor pup!
I think this thread might be more tough for folks from the South, where there are more vowls in some words. Many people have two in “vowls” but you can say it as one, as I have tried to show with my strange way to type it with no “E.”
are sad when I pick nits. Which I do though I’ve more than once done this wrong in the same way.
I need to go wash more than one dish and knife and pot and so on; which will need it too the next day, and the next, and the next; for I’ll use them, or most of them, those days too. Most things we need are like that.
Some years past, a guy wrote a whole book that does not have an “E” in it. I can’t name it here though. I don’t know if there’s a book that would fit the rule for this thread. It may be that there’s one by that Suess guy that fits?
Wet from the gray sky fell off and on for most of the day. Not lots at a time, just slow. Drip drip drip. Uggh. The temp is warm, but seems cool. A good day to laze in a chair with some Dope folks.
Soon it will be time for late day food. Hmmm. Where and what? And why?
Do you mean a slight rain? With the rules here, you can say that too. But if you want the word I think you want (it has two Zs, no?) then you may not write it.
I just learned a great man died. Can you guess who? Here are some hints: He was Prez lots of years in the past. He was a Dem. He came from a farm. He served just one term. Then he helped build lots of homes for poor folks and won a big peace prize. He was quite old when he died.
Ice save this morn…a fish in the koi pond, caught 'tween thick ice & top net (to keep the birds out of snack pond). Chop ice w fire tool & then cut net. Rip leaf skim net due to weight of thick ice; oh, well, did save a life so small price to pay. Had to go to (not blue) big box store to get new net. Also bought new white light for front of car since one was out. It was so warm that I ran in shorts.
Will do last meal in a few, then have new bottle of brown water with wax seal on top; most of the time it is red wax but this is rare one, for NY hoops team, wax is color of red mixed with sun hue, or one of the team dye
This day I will try the sous vide tool I got for Yule. I plan to cook roots, you know, the ones the hare who says “What’s up doc?” eats. I hear they are good for the first try at sous vide. When I’m done I will post how it went, but in the thread where I can use long words.
Lots of things are real good in sous vide. I don’t know if I have tried those orange roots though. Corn on the cob is great, but it’s the wrong time of year for that I guess. Lots of kinds of meat are good too. Sous vide is the one way I cook pork chops now. They don’t get dry and hard like they do when you cook them in a pan.
