And the *Mikoyan *would be paired with the Gurevich.
Dammit! I see they already moved Orville to Thursday nights. Does this mean the show has one foot in the grave?
Episode one had a couple of dull moments but episode two fucking rocked.
I’m going to be pissed if this show doesn’t get a season 2!
That was always the plan from the start. By moving it to Thursday it won’t get delayed by that rugby with bubble wrap that you all like over there.
More ship names:
No, it was Fox’s intention to move it to Thursdays, all along, as its normal time slot.
Doh! NINJA’D
And it has robust viewership numbers so far.

(jumping ahead to say) With Seth, EVERYTHING is a reference. That’s why he produces no drinking games: Death (voiced by Norm MacDonald) would stalk the land.
So far I haven’t seen any gripes about the presence of Brannon Braga. Doesn’t the Dope renounce him and all his works?
So far it seems better than a typical Seth McFarlaine show. Also so far it seems crap loads better than the not yet debuted new Star Trek series (which looks like diarrhea in the previews)
I had a similar theory about drinking beer at nine in the morning.
In the pilot, the Captain is pissed that his, uh, pilot is drinking a beer at nine in the morning. In the second episode, he gets in a fight with his ex about drinking a beer at nine in the morning, that’s apparently a long running argument between them. Bad continuity? Or a really, really subtle jab at Trek’s continuity problems, and the fans who obsess over them?
I don’t see it that way. Mercer is a prisoner in an alien zoo, 'course he’s gonna get drunk. Likewise when his marriage just failed, hence his problems getting accepted for promotion. But drinking while on a shuttle on your way to an awesome ship? That’s a little off. Look at this week’s episode – Kelly brings him a double tequila in the cafeteria. He isn’t knocking one back just before his debate with the Moclan captain.
3rd episode was entertaining, surprising ending.
Nice that their deus ex machina find did not actually resolve the issue as the hoped. On Star Trek it surely would have.
So: The Moclins are homosexual rather than unisexual (if that’s the correct term), and they’re homosexual because they’re misogynistic. Interesting? :dubious:
Oh, and What Exit, TNG went against expectations, at least mine, three times on who lives, who dies questions. (I’ll leave episode identification as an exercise for the reader.)
I liked how they changed Bortus’ mind.
I also liked the holodeck scene.
Oh, well to be fair, I’m really only a TOS & Galaxy Quest fan. I thought Next Gen was dull and angsty, Voyager and Enterprise were crap and garbage. Though DS9 wasn’t bad it lost me after a few seasons.
Hermaphroditic maybe? Since they can both lay eggs and fertilize them.
I guess those born female can only lay eggs (at least until after the procedure).
I wonder if any are born that are completely male and can’t lay eggs, and if so, do they surgically alter them?
Definitely the best so far. The ending was more Babylon 5 than Star Trek, and I liked that they had some philosophical meat to the discussion, and has the Moclins make arguments that were not easily refuted.
I could have done without the Mexican business. The holodeck was always the worst thing about ST:TNG and I hope they don’t keep bringing it back.
But it worked as a straight SF adventure in the ST mode. The jokes were not all that good, but they kept them to a minimum.
The comment about making a omelet of of his baby was way out of line.
You didn’t even… *crack *a smile?
