If you’ve ever watched “History of the World, Part I”, you’d know that originally God made 15 commandments but Moses dropped one tablet, so we only got the 10 we currently have. What do you believe those other five commandments were? Would the world have changed dramatically if we’d known about them?
Funny movie…
If (and that’s a pretty big “IF”) there were commandments carved in stone, and if five of them were smashed, maybe they would have to be updated to reflect today’s world. Let’s see…
-
Thou shalt not dabble in insider trading.
-
Thou shalt not take a parking space that you know damn well was cleared by your neighbor.
-
Thou shalt not wear a belly shirt and hip-huggers when you before you’ve lost that 15 lbs.
-
Thou shalt not play rap music within listening distance of another human being.
-
Thou shalt not speak on the phone while eating.
(Commandment 16: Mods shall move this thread to IMHO maybe?)
Yeah, I’ve always wondered why there was a commandment prohibiting coveting but none prohibiting slavery. Certainly that was #11, donchathink.

Somehow I doubt that. The Ten Commandments are the subject of Exodus 20. Exodus 21 deals with the laws of slavery.

Well, one would be:
“Thou shalt read the forum descriptions.”
“Though Shalt Treat Others As Thou Shall Desire To Be Treated.”
S&M lovers might make this one a bit problematic…
