"The Overhauling of Straight America"

I’m not at all sure where to put this. I’m looking for factual information but there’s all kinds of room for opinion…or even malice. So I’m not sure.

Anyway, I just came across this essay “The Overhauling of Straight America” by by Marshall K. Kirk & Erastes Pill. http://leavethekidsalone.netfirms.com/ltka_html/overhaul_2.htm I came across it on a conservative web site, which presented it as an “AH-HA! now we know the true gay agenda”.

When I googled it, every reference I got seemed to be an AH-HA!, by other conservative groups.

Anyone have any information on this article or on Kirk or Pill? Is this the Protocol of the Elders of Zion of homosexuality? Or is it legitimite? How seriously has it been taken by gay rights activists? How seriously do you take it?

Marshall Kirk also wrote “After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s”, published around 1989.

It took a rather pragmatic, assimulationist approach; which was supported by some, and was denounced as conservative and ‘straight-acting’ by many in the gay activist community.

Reading the site you posted, much of it seems fairly similar to what I remember from reading his book of 15 years ago.
