When I get nervous or get ready to do something that makes me nervous. I say my PPP prayer. “Please Lordy, don’t let me pee, poo, or puke.” So far, it seems to work.
So which of the above body functions is most likely to appear during episodes of high anxiety?
Hey! It’s been days since we’ve had a body function poll.
I suspect this will be a deeply personal question for each poster. Myself, I’ll go with puke.
Puke.
I did it yesterday, after having to race around town on my bicycle trying to find my mother to tell her that grandma was desperately sick (grandma lives 200 kms away, so you kind of have to hurry). I had not drunk any water at that point of the day, I was wearing a jumper, and I was riding FAST. I found Mum AT LAST, just when i was starting to feel the need to COLLAPSE ON THE GROUND; and as she drove home, promptly threw up in front of the Coke machine outside my supermarket.
Sorry if any of you are the person who had to clean it up!
Whenever I get nervous, I have a feeling identical to that of feeling like I have to defecate. But, I’ve never actually done any of the 3 P’s because of nervousness.
Poo. For some reason, just before performing in front of an audience, I become unusually flatulent. Once the show starts, however, everything goes back to normal.
A bodily function poll by hillbilly queen? Say it aint so!
I odn’t think I’ve ever done any of them due to nerves, but I’d probably say pee, but only because I drink a lot during the day (not alcohol, that’s later) and have to pee a lot anyway.
Now you see, this is why I changed my user name from pcubed. It’s no fun going through life having PPP as your initials.
Pee. Not down my leg or anything but several trips to the urinals before exams, interviews etc. would be par for the course.
I knew I was gonna regret letting you read through my old post.
Quite honestly, I rather enjoy that nervous “ohmygodmyanalisabouttoburst” feeling.
It stimulates my bung, I spose.
I’m more of a puke person. Actually, more of a gagger. I gag alot, when nervous.
poop & phart (thanks, lieu, for the alternate spelling!). Although when I’m auditioning for a play, I do neither–instead my throat gets coated with phlegm (how’s that for another p-word!) and I have trouble speaking clearly.
Actually, I’m most likely to cry when nervous or stressed. But a close second is pee. I’m in the bathroom a thousand times before something big–and I don’t actually have to pee, just feels like it.
