I’m so sad to read this news, BiblioCat. His was one of the first Doper names that I noticed. I interacted with him a few times in Doperball games too. Seemed like a clever and cool person.

Please try to avoid doing this to yourself… The facts are that his brain chemistry was so, so off and that he refused help. These are horrible facts, but are not your fault. We can’t watch over even the most depressed people all the time, despite our best efforts. You tried to be there for him, and that was a great thing.
I didn’t know him - only his posts - but I doubt he’d want you to torture yourself. I’m sure you helped him the best you knew how. I wish you and his family and friends comfort.
I’m so so sorry to hear this. Paul was such a great guy at all those Dopefests, it’s hard to believe he had these inner demons. I hope his daughter is OK.
