The Perfect Child(TM) has lost it...

I think it’s really sweet that she miss him, and decided to re-create the perfect family moment.
And she has a great sense of humor.

Shibb et al, I kinda thought the same thing, but as I’m not one to shy away from a suggestive title, I plunged forward into the fray.

F_X, she is completely bonkers - she’s a 16 y/o, fercryinoutloud!

leechbabe, thanks for the update - just the other day I was wondering about those pics - always happy to contribute to the confusion of others!

Inner Australian?? I love it!!!

When I read the title, I figured she just lost her log-in for the Boards. We haven’t seen her around lately after all. Yup, that’s all I thought. Not no FairyChatGramma or nuthin’. I mean hey, she won’t even slut-dance, what are the odds the title could mean anything worse than Christmas carols in July?
-Rue.

Rue, she did lose her account in the crash, and she never bothered to register again. Something about work and having a life and other some such nonsense. I don’t know about this younger generation!!

AUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Yesterday was LEON DAY*!!! And I missed it!!!

We used to celebrate Christmas in July - ornaments, wrapped presents, cookies and egg nog, twinkle lights, the whole nine yards**. Nice break from the heat of upstate New York, and TWO holidays in July.

[Heh. When I moved to Florida, I would send Christmas photos of me in a bathing suit, the turkey roasting on the outdoor grill, and Christmas lights decorating the potted palm on the porch. Great to really annoy the folks buried under 3 feet of snow in December!]

Damn. My favorite ‘holiday’ and I missed it this year.
*Noel spelled backwards for the rest of you! 6 months away from December 25.
**Actually, about 60 feet of twinkle lights.

Not to pick nits, screech-owl, but isn’t June 25 6 months from Dec 25? A boy who lived up the street from us when I was a kid was a Christmas baby. He felt cheated because his birthday was pretty much ignored, or he got “This is a present for both occasions!” So one year, his folks gave him a half-birthday party on June 25, but we still had to decorate a tree and play carols. Despite that, he grew up to be a very normal and successful adult.

Nope. Three of us.

Ya beat me to it, Shibb!

We sing Christmas Carols to the kids to put them to sleep sometimes. Initially, we didn’t really know too many songs, so when we were doing the 3 a.m. shuffle across the living room, trying to get them to sleep, we sang anything we could come up with. The carols kinda stuck.

side note- When you are drasticallys sleep deprived and pacing with a very awake baby, it’s amazing what you can come up with singing “Hush Little Baby, Don’t Say a Word” over and over, making up verses.

Yeah FCM, we knew that, but it would rain a lot in June. And July was much hotter, so the decorations made us feel much cooler. Okay, the ice we chilled the eggnog mix with would melt faster, but they were great for slush fights.

Besides, March is between October and November in my yearly calendar: it breaks up all those “-ber” months. It’s my world (see my location), I can use whatever timeframe I want to.

Is she gone? I cannot believe I wrote 6. :smack:

Now I feel like a nag - shame on me… Please don’t throw eggnog slush at me!!!

mmmmm…oatmeal cookies.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle alllllll theeeee waaaaaay!!!

Oh what fun it is to ride in a clapped-out Chevrolet. . .hey![sub]Well, it’s July! You can’t use a sleigh in July! Duh![/sub]

Hey swampy, whatchoo say to a turkey stuffed with okra and some Christmas beer?

So I can’t tell yet.

Is it wrong to listen to Christmas Carols any damn time you want to or not.

Cause if it is wrong I’ll stop.

on second thought I’ll flip you off and then pity you.

Zap! Turkey stuffed with okra, Christmas beer and some of ThePerfectChild’s[sup]TM[/sup] oatmeal cookies. Feels like Yule to me!

Hmmmmm…maybe we should take some to Fairy Chat Mom &Dad about 2 am. Bet they’ll be hungry and ready for a break by then.
