Now here’s a great idea for anyone who wants to learn their periodic table (and for people who know and want an entertaining website on the topic.)
The Periodic Table of Videos is a fantastic site that features a video for each element on the periodic table. The videos feature some relatively dry explanations by a mad-scientist-like professor (big, unruly hair and all) as well as fun experiments with the various elements – often involving fire, explosions, or general destruction of things. It’s almost like they took some cues from Mythbusters.
Those of you with iPhones or iPod Touches, the site uses embedded YouTube videos that open in their own windows (great for Mobile Safari users), so it’s quite iPhone Friendly. Science on the go!
