I saw this photo (1920s) of The Pickle Sisters today. I can’t seem to find any information on them.

Already been colorized. Just do a google image search for pickle sisters. (No clues as to their origin, though.)

Still not as impressive as the potato salad sisters, though.

Here’s a 1909 article from the Washington Post that appears to reference them. If the picture is truly from the 1920s, it doesn’t seem likely they are the same people - the girls in the picture are too young.

The OCR text is a terrible rendering of the actual text, but as read by OCR, it seems to be a correspondence from someone commenting on various vaudeville acts and the quality in DC, with the following line:

Then he admits that he liked those trained soup bones that called themselves the Pickle sisters and he says that those hoys that sang were fine and that the sketch was right good.
