The Post T-Day MMP

MMPs are starting to b e just like Christmas – starting earlier and earlier! It’s all well and good to start one on Sunday – but you know what’s going to happen… someone will start one on Saturday evening.

Then it will be a Saturday Evening Post…

and Curtis Publishing will sue Creative Loafing for copyright infringement!

   What a compliment that would be! Thanks for stopping in, Polycarp.

Food:

Mr Rebo requested I make Chicken Tortilla Soup for his co-workers - so I made a double batch. We’ll have ours later this week, and he’ll take some in tomorrow. He keeps bragging on my cooking, and I think they made him promise to bring something.

Tonight we’re having an eye-of-round roast, with fresh steamed asparagus and NOR (Not our Rosie’s Potatoes. Yum.

I also made some chicken salad for lunches this week.

Rosie, I ended up ordering both the Straight No Chaser original DVD and Christmas CD. Incredible!

We liked the subtle ginger in the ginger bread, Moooom – I’ll try to play around with the recipe and figure out how to do it for us non-bread-machine types. It was teh yum!

Is it bedtime yet?

I was going to try to do the same, MamaT, because it sounds yum. I like subtly spicy breads. I can add the non-bread machine directions to the blog once one of us figures them out.

Back from church. Trying to get inspired to do further organizational stuff. And then there’s work again tomorrow, although I get to leave early due to having an important haircut scheduled for 5:30.

::Waves at Poly::

Off to do something exciting.

But, but, but… it wouldn’t be thirds,it’d be sixths (don’t bring the LCD into this!). I think I could better solve this by using actual numbers, instead of well, numbers.

If I make 24 cookies from one batch (ok, so they’re BIG cookies), doubling that would make 48 cookies. If I split that into thirds, it’d be 48/3= 16.

See? No pesky and confusing fractions/decimals etc.

BTW, after a VERY busy day, I made those cookies. I don’t think I used enough of the cinnamon chips to make a difference and I didn’t make option #3, which was just cinnamon chips. They taste kinda weird, actually(the cinnamon chips)–they leave an odd afterburn reminiscent of red hots, and not in a good way (I know red hots are cinnamon candy, I just don’t like them).

Pic is scanned - I’ll post a link in the next MMP. We made the stoopit mistake of going to Potomac Mills to IKEA today - forgetting that today is the after-Thanksgiving race home, so I-95 was occasionally parking-lot-like. But we got some stuff and had a nice lunch out and we didn’t get back till a bit after 7PM. Inlaws are leaving about the same time we do for work, so they can get home tomorrow night. It’s been a nice holiday weekend, but I’m beat - way too much went on. Plans for future weekends include a lot of chilling.

I’s sleepy - off to beddy bye soon.

MWAH!!

Ima post the new MMP a bit after 11 PM EST, so be forewarned. I’m looking forward to seeing that pic, FCM, btw.

The morning after T-Giving, I took leftover hawaiian bread rolls and sliced them in half and made french toast out of them, with leftover cranberry sauce & powdered sugar on top.
H-E-A-V-E-N!

Typical leftover modus operandi is the following:
slice of potato bread, lightly toasted
mayo
turkey
sliced avocado
sliced red onion
stuffing
slice of potato bread, lightly toasted

If there is a Lord, he would eat this.

2/3 = 4/6

It’s all good.

Math is your friend.

BTW, I had pie.

Double post, but the new MMP is up
