It was a guy we both knew but weren’t really friends with.
Well she was saying she doesn’t cry anymore and I was saying that she seemed to cry a little in that case. BTW my wife has been raped twice I think, been nearly beaten up during a home invasion (she luckily used a knife to scare them away) and had miscarriages. I would consider them to be painful memories. She has brought up those memories a few times. BTW the funeral was a somewhat painful memory for the both of us and if I can deal with it then she can to some extent. I mean she didn’t react badly at all. She’s also had some friends commit suicide and had quite a few abusive relationships and she talks about them from time to time. My wife isn’t as sensitive about that funeral as people seem to think. The guy who died just died in his sleep.
Today my boss was talking about the Unity game engine (which I had used before in the past but had a lot of trouble with it) and I did a double face-palm http://masonprof.x10.mx/chan/c/src/130076655931.jpg
There was some laughter from others and my boss acknowledged how I don’t like it. But he wants the two new programmers to do it…
Today my boss was saying there was an upcoming project that I wanted to avoid so I got him alone in his office to try and get him to get the other programmer to do it but he wouldn’t change his mind even when I was having heaps of tears.
Anyway when I was just about to go home I told his wife that was next to him that today was a special day. She didn’t know what so I told her it was my birthday. Tears started again. She said I should have told her earlier so she would have got a cake. I said I didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Then everyone was saying happy birthday and we talked about it a bit then left.
BTW when I was talking to the boss initially I also mentioned that I accidently think I stopped some of the emails from working and some work emails may have been lost for a few days. It still isn’t working. He said that’s ok.
