Same here, I still prefer the printed paper. I also prefer printed books to ebooks, though electronic versions do have their place. OTOH, I have not been into a bank in years, don’t use checks, and shop online whenever possible. I rather enjoy being an enigma.
I stopped at a rest stop on I-95 late Saturday night on a long all-night drive from Jacksonville to DC. The only thing they had that was close to coffee was a Starbucks Frappuccino in a vending machine for $4. As I was pumping a heaping fistful of coins into the machine I couldn’t help but think of that scene in The Running Man (1987) where Maria Conchita Alonso and her friend are trying to get a soda out of a vending machine and the blonde asks MCA if she has any more change, exclaiming “Six dollars, geez, this place!” Curiously, that movie was set in 2017-2019.
