Basicly it’s telling kids what causes farts, and that it’s okay to do it. It even lets you know what to eat to get really stinky ones and loud ones. They refer to it as “flatulence” once, and “fart” multiple times. I’m not bothered by it, but I can imagine other parents especially those with small kids, not being very appreciative.
Well?
We’re a “farts allowed, nay, encouraged” sorta family, so it wouldn’t bother us.
Why not? Farts are real, everyone has them, kids should know they’re okay.
Oh, the kids (ten and six) and I caught this last night. We thought it was hilarious! But then, we all have the sense of humor of a ten-year old boy.
Nickelodeon has a history of spoofing ads, why not PSAs?
Neat. This should make the kids’ contribution to conversation at Thanksgiving dinner very interesting this year. I’m sure grandma and grandpa will appreciate it.
Can someone please pass the methane?
Oh, I thought it was funny too. It was even done in the style of those hygiene PSA’s from the 50’s. But, I can just picture the first day of school, where the teacher can’t be heard over the sound of six year old’s flatulence. Because although their parents said it’s not nice to poot in public, Nickelodian says to “LET IT OUT!!!”
I knew I’d regret cancelling my cable subscription.
My daughter’s going to be so surprised to learn it’s not from stepping on Mountain Ducks.
They have a whole series of these things - earwax, saliva, boogers, and so on.
Well, everyone knows farts are just jokes that come out of your ass.
The ones who aren’t amused by yours either have no sense of humor, or just don’t get the joke.
And to think this is the network that cancelled Ren & Stimpy because they didn’t want to be known as the “fart & booger” network.
