The Race Card and the Racist Card

I’m guessing so. The IQ issue has been covered in other threads and I have made my points before that I personally believe that Jewish success in certain fields of ideas has had more to do with a variety of historic sociocultural factors that left Jews with trading in ideas as their only resource, but being a literate group spread among enough cultures that they had exposure to many of them, developing experience and culturally valuing translating them into new domains and recombining them in novel ways. Add into the mix the Talmudic tradition of questioning and arguing about ideas, a tradition that said that we should argue even with God, and what else would expect to result?

And as I’ve pointed out before in that past other thread, if it was true that Jews both had higher IQs and that such was responsible for disparate outcomes (Jews being everywhere) would pointing that out diminish Jew-hating and suspicion do you think? I personally think it would have the exact opposite effect.

We really have no effective response to the Jews are everywhere (and therefore control us according to their own agenda) “argument” and you at least now have some appreciation for our frustration.

I have however thought of a study that would answer some of my objections to these IQ issues, both this one and your hypothetical - what you’d need to do is match large numbers of people of different groups for IQ and see if they have the same or different outcomes. Those who, for example, would claim in your hypothetical that poorer outcomes for Blacks with schizophrenia was due to a statistically greater chance of having a lower IQ, would have to also demonstrate that matched for IQ Blacks and Whites had the same outcomes. Likewise those who would claim that an IQ advantage in Ashkenazi Jews was responsible for the Jews are everywhere effect would need to demonstrate that matched for IQ other population groups are equally well represented. I personally doubt that either of those would be the case; I see it much more likely that any statistically present population wide difference in IQs are swamped by sociocultural effects. I recognize however that I do not know that to be true any more than anyone else knows that the converse is the case … and the question really doesn’t interest me other then when some try to claim that they know for a fact the opposite of what I believe.

So monstro, yeah, unless you’ve got something else to say, I for one am done here. I have an appreciation of your POV, you have, I think, some for mine. Good enough for me.

Yes, I do have a better appreciate, DSeid. I’m glad that, for once, there could be a civil discussion about these controversial subjects.

My last post was being a bit silly, but I did find it ironic to end the thread on a stereotype, without any comment from anyone.
