I just saw The Railway Man (2013) and was surprised how strongly it affected me.
The story is about a young man (Colin Firth) who was in the army in Singapore in 1942 when the British surrendered to the Japanese.
The Japs treated their prisoners extremely harshly and the story is about the rest of Colin Firth’s life.
It was a very fine film and I’m sure that most anyone would enjoy it.
It stars Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård and Nichole Kidman.
Very strange that I never recognized Nichole Kidman.
Anyway, I sincerely hope you will enjoy this film.
I am just beginning to discover Colin Firth. I’m very happy to have seen many of his films. He is a very fine actor.
