The Rasterbator rules

Anyone looking for a sweet decoration should use the Rasterbator. It takes an image and makes it into a giant poster composed of many printed pages (dot-printed so as to use the ink efficiently.) Man, is this thing badass. You can use the pages to make one giant page, but I think the effect of spacing the pages out is a lot better. Jeez Louize, some of the examples that other users have photographed and submitted are really cool (I love the fake windows and fake open doors looking into a fake room.) You can use it to make a really classy decoration on a low budget, especially if you frame or matte the pages.

Stop that right now before you go blind!!

Get the downloadable version…it’s got much fewer limitations that the online version.

then go look at Blue Marble NG on NASA’s website. I’ve got an 8’x4’ printout of the whole friggin world in my office.

I guess it’s a matter of personal taste. I looked at some of the pictures of their work and I was thinking it looked pretty cheesy.

Thank you Argent Towers. I can’t wait to try this once I’ve selected a proper pic.
Thanks again. I’ve been wanting a wall-sized solar system for our sons wall. I’ll let ya know how it goes.

I’ve actually used Rasterbator in a serious school project. We created a giant map of Europe, and had a guy eat his way through Napoleon’s conquest. Our professor was impressed, saying not only was it entertaining, but it was one of the more factual summaries she’s seen. And it’ll eventually be put up on our history department pages, so I’ll be sure to let you know when that happens.
