The Redemption Movement

The Redemption Movement is a money scam based on a revisionist history of the American Depression. All I know so far is that Redemptionists claim that the US borrowed funds to pay off debts it racked up in the 30s and that the collateral for that money was our very citizenship. Therefore we the citizens are entitled to use our citizenship as some form of currency. Like it’s a bond the government took out in our name that has matured and now we can draw from it. Naturally, it’s all malarkey but that hasn’t stopped people from writing bogus checks based on this principle.

I’m trying to put together a pretty detailed report on the inner workings of this scam and just thought I see if anyone here has any knowledge to share or even an encounter with a Redemption group. Thanks.

Never heard of it. Do you have a cite?
