Hey, at least he’s sticking to his own state. Not so much the Alabama AG:
In a court filing Monday, attorneys for Attorney General Steve Marshall wrote that providing transportation for women in Alabama to leave the state to get an abortion could amount to a “criminal conspiracy.”
We’ve had a president send in federal troops to enforce a federal court order regarding education access. I’d love to see President Biden send federal troops to the Rio Grande to remove that atrocity (the barrier, not the governor, but I understand the confusion) and then see how brave the gov and the local anti-immigrant crowd really is.
Or they could send the Army Corps of Engineers in to remove it for them, and deduct the cost from the operating funds at one of the military installations in Texas (perhaps the funding that keeps officers’ clubs open. Or, does the Texas National Guard operate with federal funding?).
But notice, all their examples are of protecting smaller areas, associated with critical military or infrastructure sites. Anyone trying to access those sites can safely be assumed to be up to no good, looking to sabotage a ship or harbor installation.
It’s a bit like razor wire. It has legitimate uses, but not where regular civilians are likely to encounter it.
Yeah those went up around damns to keep boats away from them after 9-11. Also no truck or car towing a trailer could go over the damn, least it be packed full of explosives. That’s where I live though. Don’t know about other areas.
Communities of color and people earning lower incomes are disproportionately affected by the disease — more prevalence and higher death rates — because they tend to have less access to health care, Eppes said.
I am not sure if this belongs here or in the stupid thread (mods feel free to move). I put it here because…it’s evil even if due to stupidity. You can’t make this idiocy up. I get the source may make some question it but the video of her saying that is in the link.
