I have been watching ‘Midnight Mass’ on Netflix. Spoiler, it is about Priest who is attacked by a vampire while visiting the Holy Lands. He thinks the vampire is an Angel. He smuggles the vampire home and starts infecting his congregation with vampire blood. He lets a few churchies in on his plan, they buy into it, hook, line and sinker. They think they are doing ‘God’s’ work. Jesus’ blood, resurrections and all that.

All about government not telling you what to do or messing with your freedom. I mean the southern states were all about freedom except for slaves. And the republicans are all about freedom unless it’s women, LGBTQ, brown people, Muslims, non-Christians, the incorrect christians, etc. etc. etc. I think my irony meter is going to explode.
This is actually good action by the Ohio Gov. but the Rebublicant EVIL majorities in both houses could override his veto.
Instead of doing a victory over humanity dance; DeWine noticed the winds of change and flopped. Still threw in a blatant lie about caring for human lives - you know - except women and their choices.

I am reminded of poster Bricker, who opposed the death penalty. We both oppose it, likely for different reasons, but the result is opposition. Doing what you can when you can results in a measure of respect from me.
I’ve seen that guy being interviewed, and he "both sides"d it.
He said that the left and right are the same in this regard, because he gets people from the left saying hateful things in his youtube comments 
Now, even assuming he’s right about “hateful things” and they are not simply valid criticisms, it’s the age-old difference where to show the “hate” of the left, the cite is always some rando on the internet…
Whereas with the right, at least in its current incarnation, we can point to the words, policies and actions of pretty much every politician, right up to the runaway leading nomination for president. Also all the main conservative opinion leaders. Oh, and the clothes, banners and cheers of the crowds at GOP / MAGA rallies, as well as their white supremacist club affiliations. And the actual hate crimes committed across the country.

Yup, making a snide comment in the comments of YouTube is exactly the same as an angry mob surrounding you and chanting hate speech.
He’s not just a gay black Republican either, he’s a spokesperson for a conservative PAC and he’s living proof of my maxim: every Republican is a mix of evil and stupid, some are smart and pure evil like Dick Cheney and some are just complete morons like this guy.
And assuming that the hateful YouTube commenters are even actually liberals, and not “Well, I’m a liberal, but even I think that women, black folks, Muslims, and queers need to know their place” who’ve voted straight-ticket Republican for every election this millennium.
I have heard so much from the Right about crime and lawlessness, especially in the big cities.
