Yeah, a public endorsement/testimonial is kind of weak if you can’t show the person(s) making it really are who you claim they are. Though there is such a thing as not saying more than you need. “Mr & Mrs McGopface, business owners in BFE” should be sufficient though it would only delay finding them by maybe minutes.
If this is sounding snarky I sincerely apologize, however, unless I truly despised someone and wanted them threatened and/or dead, I would never identify them to the exent that they could be found and threatened.

Sorry to double-post, but this is just so out-there and creepy I had to share it as well since it’s my home state. I can’t think of very many reasons why this is a good idea. How does it help the children?
If that were true, they’d be putting those windows in all the bathrooms.
I could see me, were I in that high school. I’d take a photo of the empty bathroom, print it to the right size, and stick it to the window. As many times as necessary.
Or perhaps a sign over the window on the bathroom side reading “Pedophile’s Gallery”.

As it happens some Indonesians do eat dog. On Flores island I drove past a road crew with a dog on a spit; it was a not very well kept secret that some restaurants had dog - off menu.
It is illegal, and I did not try to order it anywhere. As an obvious foreigner I would have not been offered dog but our driver, native to Flores, told us he could get it.

I’ve seen a sign for the Independence Law Center before I knew what they were about, and the name always seemed carefully nondescript. Not surprised that they’re involved in this bathroom-window nonsense, and I’m glad that it seems to have been shut down.

It is a satisfying read knowing that many of the lead characters in this farce will soon be guests of the government.
So reading that article, there is this gem:

Back in the dark ages, there was one restroom at my high school without doors in the stalls. Take a dump with no door. And there were still urinal troughs in the stadium bathrooms. No partitions at all.
Now I’m sure those have long since been renovated, it’s still fairly common to encounter public stalls that have gaps between the panels and at the door. I don’t know about schools, but just in general.
But this is still rotten dealing. Especially since the school board took action without public deliberation and vote. That violates open meeting laws.
What’s interesting is that there actually were Communists in the Allied forces - the USSR. But there were no good guys, only bad guys? While firebombing Dresden and some of the acts against Japan including the atom bombs are pretty reprehensible, that’s still a long way from no good guys. Of course that’s not what he’s talking about.

Ah, the GOP - I don’t know if I should laugh at the “quality” of the candidates they are running, or cry that these are the candidates their party is choosing.
I have seen many restrooms here in Europe where there’s one facility for all genders — all the toilet stalls are full-on cubicle rooms, floor-to-ceiling walls with actual doors, and no stand-up urinals, with the toilet rooms laid out as the perimeter of a single common room where the sinks are found. It’s not a ubiquitous arrangement by any means, but I’ve seen it enough that it isn’t that remarkable.
And if you think about it for a bit, you realize this solves all kinds of problems.
I’ve seen similar arrangements with stalls being full walls and maybe the door having a few inches gap at the bottom. It’s not common, but I like it. But walls take up space, and many places are squeezing in as many places as they can in a 10 ft x 10 ft closet.
Recently partition kits have started including gap panels that cover the seams and overlap the door gap. It’s a real improvement for still using partition kits.
Either way, he must have missed how the whole ‘Black Nazi’ thing went over in North Carolina.

Patton said many appalling things, but in context, it’s probably a reference to his feelings that the Soviets were the real threat, that “we have been fighting the wrong enemy,” and that Germany should not have been destroyed, but rather rebuilt in order so serve as a buffer against the Russians, who were the true danger. There were also some delightful quotes about the Jewish and Communist influence in the press, which would be right at home in today’s GOP.
Really, you’re spoiled for choice as to what he might have meant.
