In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, Republicans block a Democratic plan to force the release of the Epstein files.
but..but…but…but…but… the files don’t exist. So there’s no reason to block anything.
I AM SO CONFUSED???
You have no experience as a Congressperson and are not practiced in the Art of DoubleThink.
You will know that you are ready for the office, Grasshopper, when you can without a qualm pass a law regarding something that does not and cannot exist.
Greg Gutfeld wants to ironically reclaim the word Nazi, since Democrats are calling Republicans that. Like Black people calling each other the N word.
“What’s up, my Nazi?”
Little story on the news. The previous admin had passed a law restricting checking over draft to a max of $5. This week, an effort led by Sen Tim Scott and signed by trump, overturned that rule, so the fees are back to an average of over $30. I’m sure the banks will be lenient.
Also, the retail price of beef is the highest in history.
Winning?
To be fair , beef prices are cyclical and I BELIEVE worldwide have brought in on a 20-25 year cycle the highest prices(I buy the whole cow). Look to next year or the year after for falling or massive drops (50/50 chance unfortunately). But we can still blame him for eggs. They’re still ignoring the bird flu like its imaginary.
Why? He promised to reduce retail prices day one, and hasn’t done it.
I’m just waiting on his tariffs to really dig into our wallets.
To be fair again , you are correct heh. He did promise on DAY ONE , to reduce both grocery prices and fix the economy. I believe he claimed 3 days for ukraine wasn’t it (total peace deal)? He is definitely going to be the worst president in the USA’s history for sure. No one’s coming after that will be worse. I just can’t see it. This is the bottom heh.
It’s amusing watching my trumper family (georgia and carolinas) twist in the wind. They’re those types who call themselves independents when he says something truly awful. They’re visiting shortly. I can’t wait to see how they try to avoid all the subjects he’s trounced on recently. My stalwart “conservative” canadian family is not too pleased with America right now. It’s very amusing from my perspective (I am thankfully in a place he can’t harm me and my retirement that is in american assets, it has always been only berkshire cuz I don’t trust any other american monetary influencers or investors heh).
Also my current job is avoiding them as we have “free speech” concessions (we print a lot of material for both the repubs and dems nationally and locally , books for conventions etc etc. Yep all proudly made in Canada…(yes on some things we do the address trick so it looks american at the customer request , which as you can guess does come from the republican side more heh…)
Hickman Egg Ranch, the biggest producer here in Arizona, has lost 95% of its flock (!)
Bwahahahaha, vaccines for . . . CHICKENS???
Glenn doesn’t seem to be aware of which America he’s in…
Especially as he wants you to write to Biggs, Gosar, Schweikart and Crane, who about as MAGA as can be. They’re useless, if not dangerous.
Candace Owens is continuing in the proud tradition of accusing famous women of being men. In this case, Brigitte Macron. They’re suing her, and I hope Owens gets crushed, but I’m not hopeful.
Maybe Candace is man, did we ever think of that?
Very Important Things:
[quote]
We have all seen Trump and Republicans’ repeated spending freezes that violate the Constitution and the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, and their after-the-fact “rescission” bills, and now their made-up notion of “pocket rescissions” that would not require any vote by Congress. (Indeed, the tactic relies on making congressional votes near impossible). And we have seen the related litigation that, while often successful, is way too slow and ineffectual to confront this threat.
Lurking behind all of this is a much larger issue that has not been discussed much publicly: if allowed to prevail, this Republican scheme means the end of democracy, the end of a functioning U.S. government. Why? Because we can never have a comprehensive appropriations bill to fund the government — which takes months of bipartisan negotiations and deal-making — if Republicans can thereafter pick and choose whether and how much to spend (or not) on any given discretionary budget item. There would no longer be any “deals”; there no longer would be any laws.
…
Sen. Warren explains the obvious:
“Why should Democrats come to the table and negotiate in good faith and throw our support behind a quote-unquote bipartisan bill, only for Republicans to turn around after the deal is done and, somewhere down the line, delete any parts of the deal Trump doesn’t like?” Warren asked.
Warren also urged Democrats to use the power they have in the appropriations process — funding bills require 60 votes in the Senate, requiring some Senate Democrats to join the Republicans to successfully pass the bills — to get assurances that any government funding they will support would “include an agreement that they won’t take back that deal a few weeks later.”

Speaking as a man: we don’t want her.
Heh, y’all can have her. We don’t want her either.
Except that their agreements aren’t worth the paper they are written on. Much less their word.
Today I learned about a tracker used to list Republicans who have been charged with various crimes such as child abuse and assault. No wonder they’re so concerned about the Epstein Files!
That is quite a useful tracker.
I’m kind of baffled by this one from back in April (#1390 on that tracker):
He claims all he did was ask a woman out for coffee. I’m guessing it takes a little more than that to get banned from FoxNews for sexual harassment.
‘Damn Ty ty, coffee? You’re such a freak! Why couldn’t you do something normal like slashing her tires?’ Your pal, Jesse
