The Republican Party is the Party of Evil

And still no elaborations - fine.

Newly leaked letter details allegations that Southern Baptist leaders mishandled sex abuse claims

New allegations about the mishandling of sex abuse claims at the highest levels of the Southern Baptist Convention were made public in a recent letter between two high-profile leaders that was obtained Friday by The Washington Post.

While such allegations have been made by several women in the past, the letter includes new details from internal conversations, alleging that some institutional leaders bullied a sexual abuse victim, who was called a “whore,” and described in detail how many leaders resisted sexual abuse reforms.

(Sorry - this is a long article and it’s hard to cherry-pick the most relevant stuff)

The Southern Baptist leadership and institutions are just corrupt and immoral as Catholic leadership and institutions, if not worse. Hopefully this is finally coming to light. These are the direct descendants, both philosophically and sometimes literally, from the Dixiecrats back through Jim Crow and the Confederacy. The very worst of America, in other words.

Here’s an interesting development

To be fair, if I must, New Jersey’s SNAP program already has that.

The latest from Mitch McConnell: If the GOP retakes control of the Senate in 2022, not only would Biden be blocked from filling a hypothetical Supreme Court vacancy in all of 2024, the same obstruction in all of 20 fucking 23 is also on the table.

Said another way, no R-controlled senate will ever approve a D-nominated judge or justice.

Then again, whenever in the future the Rs gain control of the senate there will never be another D president, period. At best there will be a final de facto lame duck D prez for 2 or 4 years, unable to pass anything on any topic.

Apparently, Ex-congressman Dana Rohrabacher was at the January 6th Insurrection:

Previously it was known he was a speaker. Now he’s been identified among the Insurrectionists.

Then they should be honest and pass it as a law or Senate resolution.

Resolved: “Democrat” is such an anathema we, the Republican party, can lo longer answer to any democratically elected government.

And lose their supporters?

What part of that resolution above would get anything but a “Fuck, yeah!” from their supporters?

One of the key attributes of a long-lasting authoritarian regime is to keep up an almost entirely seamless veneer of respectability in their written laws. Where they happily go off the deep end is in how they apply them.

Having a written law against traitors is pretty normal. Enforcing it on anyone who refuses to sing all the verses of the Heil oh Mighty Trump! song every morning is not.

I guess the reason the 'Pubs thing there was fraud going on is that so many or their numbers commit fraud.

He screws up an election, gets paid AND commits disability fraud at the same time.

More projection than a multiplex.

Another hypocrite.

Lame-ass excuses for committing voter fraud while trying to deprive others of voting entirely.

Snodgrass has provided contrasting explanations of his actions, claiming on one hand that, “I was simply trying to execute a dying man’s wishes.” While on the other hand has claimed, “I was sleep-deprived and not thinking clearly. But I’m not going to run away from it.”

No; he was dead. Not dying: dead. Stop lying.

Two people can keep a secret, if one of them is dead. For all we know, his
father hated Trump.

I mean, it was his wish while he was dying. I’m gonna allow it.

I’m not going to allow it: votes from dead people don’t count.

Multi-tasking!
