Yeah, it was the perfect comeback to the heckler. The lady (and I use that term loosely) who threw the beer is lucky it didn’t hit her, or she’d likely be facing an assault charge.
IANAL, but my understanding is that an attempt to do physical harm is assault, even if it fails to do so.
Probably depends on a lot of factors, but that is the sort of action that could well have legal consequences. (One could hope.)

I just filled out my ballot and came across that… incident. The position is non-partisan but when I dug a little deeper there was the headline, MAGA loving candidate and fierce Trump supporter, arrested for public indecency—Randy Kaufman’s campaign for Maricopa Community College Board suspended (I know it doesn’t have to fit in a newspaper column any more but sheesh)
A Maricopa County police officer identified a Ford F-150 parked with a shade screen along the windshield, when the office approached the vehicle, (he) Kaufman “immediately became alarmed as I saw [Kaufman] had his pants down mid-thigh and was exposed showing his fully erect nude penis,” according to report affidavit.
Reportedly, Kaufman was so engrossed in his activities that he did not notice the officer at his passenger side door until he moved around the car to the driver’s side window. Documents also show that Kaufman attempted to get the officer to go “off the record.”
Made voting easier because there were only two candidates for the one position.
