Okay, okay. I have a favorite moment for everybody.
Baker - When she revealed that she had the same MOS that my wife did when she was in the army. 97G’s are not all that common.
SkipMagic - When flipping through the channels on your TV trying to get back to the Iron Giant and noticed that Channel 3 was labeled “CRAP”.
GaryT - When he started tuning his guitar using the electronic tuner like it was a perfectly normal thing to do. I’ve never seen one of those! How cool. I loves me some interesting electronic gadgets. Second favorite moment was when he started the second song and a big clap of thunder sounded like The Big Guy was warming up as well. Then in the middle of that song there was another roll of thunder that was totally out of key.
The Unmentioned One - When she said that you could figure out her screen name from her shirt if you took a picture of her and I suggested that she could just remove the shirt in that case.
Wow Baker! You remember your SQI and ASI as well? Congrats on making your stripes in those 4 years. For those that are curious:
98G = Voice Interceptor
2 = Sergeant
L = Linguist w/ proficiency level 2 in listening and either speaking or reading
KP = Korean
Me? I’m currently a 75F2OR3, secondary 16E2OYY.
Heh. I thought of another moment I liked. Baker was in on this one. When Son of Horseflesh and I were eating the chocolate pecan pie and the flies were buzzing all over my plate, two flies were attempting to mate when they landed. I shooed them and said “Aw geez, not here guys. Look what they’re doing.” Baker asked what they were doing. Since my son was sitting next to me I replied “Uh, they were doing the, uh, uh, humpty-hump.” About a minute late my son asked me what those flies had been doing. I stammered and said they were playing tag. He said “No, they were doing the HUMPTY-HUMP!” Why can’t he listen like that when it’s time to pick up toys? :rolleyes:
Oh, oh, favorite moments! Me, I was geniunely thrilled when people actually started showing up at my place! “Look, Precious, we have visitors again. Isn’t that nice?”
Precious just sits and nods. Well, nods as much as a stitched and stuffed dog can, anyway.
“Remember, Precious, it puts the lotion in the bucket or it gets the hose.”
I’ve been so lonely lately, what with the parents of the neighborhood warning their children to stay away, the police tape blocking off entrance to my house (I cleaned that up before y’all came) and the forced solitude I had to endure due to some discriminatory law against the criminally insane.
All-in-all it was refreshing to see people coming instead of running away, shrieking in fear. Not as exciting, per se, but definitely refreshing.
By the way, the pictures came out and I’ll get those scanned and placed on the web page.
Robert Smith and I have a slightly modified song for you, Skip. Wanna hear it? Here it go:
I’ve been waiting so long for these pictures from you
That I almost believe that they’re real
I’ve been living so long without these pictures from you
That I almost believe that the pictures are
All I can feel
