Also no discussion second-guessing the list or arguing those on the list are fictional-take such OT discussion elsewhere and treat them as stand-ins if you wish (ie Moses for founder of Judaism and writer of Mosaic Law).

Pope Urban II.

Curtis, you should just ask for people to vote on influence period. If you put any moral value such as positive and negative influence into it, I predict you’re just going to have a repeat of the other thread.

Dammit, Curtis, you’ve fucked up the game again by adding in the crappy moral-ranking bit. Again.

Jesus. Just because.

“Influential” does not have any per se positive or negative connotation, so it makes no sense to impose one. If you’re looking for whoever had the most positive net influence on humanity, then say that. Don’t just say “influential.”
I honestly can’t see how this is any different from the other thread. Obviously fictonal characters can’t be considered, so they have to be removed immediately.

After that, I’m going to say that Jesus should go first as having the most negative net influence on humanity (albeit mostly indirectly and unintentionally).

I object to Jesus’s description as “Son of God, Savior of Mankind.” Although I personally believe that, and I assume you do, it’s unprovable and most people responding to this thread would probably reject it. “Founder of Christianity” is better, although even that is agruable. I think you need to use neutral descriptions for everyone.

Still I’m going to sit this one out as it’s bound to devolve into Jesus-bashing as the other one did.

I agree. If you’re going to describe Jesus in the terms of his followers, you should do the same for people like Mohammed or Buddha.

Okay. let’s see if we can finally eliminate der Führer des deutschen Reiches und Volkes.

Adolf Hitler.

Great-I get to vote Jesus again.

Maybe Curtis should change the list to only include economists

1.) This is no different than the original game.
2.) I still object to your descriptors.
3.) I just love how you included “no discussion.” Was it too much for you last time?
4.) I vote Jesus.

Jesus H. Christ. You just couldn’t resist, could you? “Founder of Christianity” just wasn’t good enough.

I’ll pass this time around.

Dio will object. It’s a fictional science.

I consider religion to be evil, so I must vote Jesus again

What the heck, I’ll go with Jesus.

One again.

Jesus for the negatives.

Jesus again.

Curtis, I really wish you would take everyone’s advice and just make the game be about total influence.

what the wreck, Jesus.

(Curtis - you need to learn at least the appearance of neutrality. As a budding propagandist, you could learn lots from the Third Reich)

Maybe we could try this a third time and give Jesus some bye rounds.

Why?

I don’t even get how this changes the original game. Can anyone enlighten me?
