In Kansas, the Senate Majority Leader and 10 other Brownback Teanderthals lost their primaries.

Kansas has struggled to balance its budget since the GOP-dominated Legislature slashed personal income taxes in 2012 and 2013 at Brownback’s urging to stimulate the economy. That’s created concerns among educators about future spending on schools, even as many Republicans see the $4 billion-plus a year the state now spends as generous.

Slashing taxes, per what has recently been GOP orthodoxy, has only crippled the state, and the adults recognize it.

U.S. Representative and Tea Partier Tim Huelskamp was also defeated by a more moderate conservative. (For a certain value of moderate.)

Similar thing next door in Missouri. Conservative billionaire Rex Sinquefield dumped a bunch of his money into campaigns for various statewide offices, and it looks like everyone he backed got stomped in their primaries.
