The Ripping Friends

This morning I saw a new cartoon on FOX. The Ripping Friends. It’s a spoofy super-hero cartoon. Yeah, it’s chock-full of sophisticated, high-brow humor.

Today’s episode was about one of the Friends’ shorts getting tossed into space and they got bombarded with space-radiation and came back to Earth and fell in a volcano and then get spat into an oozy swamp. Said shorts become sentient and (of course) evil.

The Evil Shorts had a cheap imitation Edward G. Robinson voice. When it slid itself onto an unsespecting victim, it could take over their mind! Through their butt!

The Ripping Friend who is a knock-off Kirk Douglas subdues he Evil Shrts by breaking the elastic waistband.

It made me think of jarbabe and SPOOFE. I don’t know why.

Or the one where, in trying to get rid of the friction between their toes with a gigantic machine, they create Frictor, who can control friction! When he proves to be too much to handle, they lure him to the moon using their mother as bait (For Frictor craves and Earth Woman to love!), and when the Earth passes between the sun and the moon, it eliminates the forces of friction temporarily, rendering Frictor powerless and easily defeated!

I should mention, for those who don’t already know, that The Ripping Friends is brought to you by John Krisfaluci and his fine(?) folks at Spümcø.
