The rules concerning the Pit?

Is the meaning of “Don’t be a jerk” different in the Pit than in the other forums?

Yes. An example:
IMHO: “I disagree with your position”
GQ: “I think your information is incorrect, here is the correct answer…”
GD: “I disagree with your view on the matter, here is my view with supporting facts”
Pit: “You are a goat feltching poopy-head.”
MPSIMS: “I eat glue.”

(IOW, in the Pit you are allowed to attach the person, while in the other forums you’re only allowed to attack their positions or the facts of the matter at hand.)

See the pit rules sticky for further clarification.

Attatch them to what?

Oh.

Never mind.

I don’t know, but how are you going to attach them if you’ve ate all the glue?

LordVor, that was a work of art. I salute you!

You forgot Cafe Society… I don’t even know what they discuss in there, though…

Nice, Lord Vor, very nice. I’ll add:
Cafe Society: “It’s a matter of different tastes in the arts.”

Yeah, the rules in the Pit are slightly different. You’re allowed to flame other members (up to certain limits) in the Pit, while it’s not allowed elsewhere.

The first rule of the Pit is - you do not talk about the Pit. The second rule of the Pit is - you DO NOT talk about the Pit. Third rule of the Pit, Hi Opal!

Wot?

Don’t you hate it when you’re one typo away from the perfect post?

Two. You also misspelled felching. If this were the Pit, I’d let you know what I think of your mathematical abilities.
