I love football! I live for it. My husband is the football widow… LOL But I totally suck at this. I tried it last year and came in somewhere about 700 gazillionith place.
I tried fantasy football last year too, but never could figure out how yahoo worked.

Which begs the question … how does one tell the difference between male and female oranges without benefit of the “Lady” labels? I always thought fruit was inherently female … but that is not about football anyway. So, go Packers!!
cadolphin, glad to have you too. Good to know that I am not the only “Lady Doper” (har har) in the pool. My husband is a football widower too - especially when my beloved E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles are playing. Not that he wants to be around me when they play, anyway, because I am a sore loser and an even worse winner.

I couldn’t figure out their fantasy football. I got my team put together and figured out how to change players, but then never figured out how to tell anything else. Actually, right now I can’t even remember it. I just remember being so frustrated! I had a team on nfl.com too, and it was fun. But I don’t want to spend $$$ this year to get a team.
** rockle**, I went to school with the Eagle’s coach (Andy Reid). He was a couple years behind me, but I remember him playing at jr. high and high school. He hasn’t changed hardley at all… just grew a mustache.

Okay, that’s oversimplifying, but in essence that’s about it. It’s not as if you have to predict Team A will score 500 points, or something.

The joy in games like this does not come from the fact that it’s a football game, it comes from the fact that your fellow Dopers are involved. Anyone could join a public league on Yahoo, for example, but it wouldn’t be as much fun as going up against your fellow posters.
