The Jetskins are good on paper, but they have a serious case of Ranger-itis. (NHL reference, to the hockey-impaired, of buying a bunch of high-priced talent that fails miserably due to lack of team chemistry.)

The first game is Thursday, September 4, so the picks are due before then.

I’m in, and I’m too damned lazy to read back through this thread to figure out who everyone is. Welcome to everyone I don’t know, and it’s good to see the rest of the usual suspects still around. I’d also like to know who is the Bengal Fan (may be a neighbor?) and BucsOverEagles (may be a soulmate) and Ellis Dee (may be a relative?).
Rockles, let’s go with lots of smackdown before the HUGE opening Monday Night game.
A couple of other things, first, my team name is the Unskilled Hacks. Let’s just say it’s applicable. Second, dantheman, have you set up the league so that it locks you out if you don’t make your picks before the first game starts? I’d suggest that you go the other way if possible, eg, if you miss the Thursday Night game then you can still pick all of the others. Games before Sunday often throw people off, and this way folks are more inclined to stay in the league if they forget to submit a pick for a Thursday game.
Well, these are the options I see:
I have the middle one selected, so that means that you need to have all of your picks in by 8:55 Eastern Time on Thursday. If you don’t, then you’re out for the week. And I can see how that might not be all that fair or reasonable.
If I choose the last option there … that might make the most sense. If someone misses the Thursday game, then they would have until 5 minutes before any game to make their selections. So they could make their picks on Friday - missing the two Thurs. games - and still be fine.

Shibb - Know what game is really giving me the most trouble? Whether to pick my beloved Buffalo Bills over my beloved Tom Brady of the NE Patriots, or vice-versa. I will ALWAYS pick the E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles, no matter how much they suck - because I am DEFINITELY my father’s child.
Happily, they don’t suck.
