The SDMB Gun Picture Thread

I’ve got a few more of my actual guns on hand now, and I’ve taken some pics of them:

Norinco SKS
I just got a new Dragunov stock and a see-thru mount and scope for it. You can see I’ve left the original wood handguard (I cannot get rivet out to remove the gas tube from the wood).
Springfield GI M1911-A
With my new Hogue grips and commander-style hammer.
Armalite (original!) AR-7 Explorer
This is my baby, which I’ve had since the age of 3. It is sporting a 15-round clip I picked up about 10 years ago. I can’t seem to find the original 8-round clip, which ticks me off to no end.
Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special
For a small revolver, you’d be amazed how accurate this baby is.
Hi-Standard Sport King .22LR
Quite accurate, but the sights are so bloody big on it its hard to aim properly. If the gun weren’t so old, I’d take my dremel to it and make some trapezoidal sights like the Steyr M9, (which, BTW, I desperately want ).

I mentioned earlier that I ordered an AK parts kit. However, since I live in California, I cannot assemble it on a real receiver. Seeing as how the ATF decided to enfore the ban on importing barrels, I decided to buy 2 more kits. If I ever live somewhere where I can build an AK legally, I can do so. If not, I can always resell them at a profit, since prices will likely go up. Until then, I will build all 3 on dummy receivers for display.

My first dummy receiver arrived literally 5 minutes ago. Here it is!

I do have one question:
This receiver came with a little orange cap to cover the barrel, similar to the way all the airsoft guns look when I am in the sporting goods store. If I build a dummy gun, am I required to put this “rifle jimmy” on it?

I always wanted an AR-7. I remember when I was a kid going to Fed Mart to look at the one they had. I’m still tempted to buy one every time I go to the local gun store.

I also want a Springfield Armory M6 Scout. The originals didn’t have a trigger guard, and you could fold them in half.

Tell you what. I’ll trade you a brand-spanking-new AR-7 for that FAL you got there.

Baretta 85

Birds Head Vaquero 45 LC

Oh, dude. I would; only it’s a SAR-8. And I wouldn’t want to make you a felon, still being in California as you are.

:smack: SAR. I meant SAR.

:frowning:
I’d be willing to take the Mini-14 instead.

I know I’m late to the party, but here’s our AR-10. We’ve also got a .22 pistol (aka “The Holdout Piece”), my .22 bolt-action Remington rifle, and a Springfield 1903-A3.

Oh yeah, The Highwayman and I are both registered Democrats.

Sorry I’m late replying to this.

Bersa is an Argentine make, and the one I have is light, short and pretty accurate with not a lot of kick - which is nice when you consider that I’m putting a .45 caliber bullet down only a 4" barrel.

The gun is therefore good for carry in .45 or .380 both.

It is double action, and the safety doubles as a hammer release, which I like a lot.

Holy freakin’ moly, you guys could start a war all by yourselves.

Sorry, no pics, but as mentioned by a previous poster, if you’ve seen one Glock, you’ve seen 'em all.

1 x Glock 19 permanent carry, or at the very least, within easy reach. Except here at work, where it’s locked away in a gunsafe.
