Another good reason for me to start exercizing. My father has high blood pressure (regulated through meds) and i would rather not have to come to that sometime in the future.

I already don’t eat much, and I walk almost everywhere. Guess I’ll start by cutting out alot of my Coke intake and getting up early enough to do something aerobic for 20 minutes or so. I have tapes…just gotta blow the dust off of 'em. :::blush:::

I walk much less than I used to, so I want to start walking more.

You know what I did? I made every single sweet thing I had in my house (1 package Pilbury cookies and 1 Jello No-Bake cheesecake) and I brought them and 4 boxes of Jello pudding to my mom and dad’s house. While there I had a piece of Dairy Queen ice cream cake. (I had to because it was my nephew’s birthday party.)

I took a jog this morning but it was short lived because of asthma.

Spider Woman is right, don’t even think that way! You are not disgusting. You are a beauty (I’ve seen your pictures) so do not deny it. I’ve spent too much time with my own self-hatred to know it is a poisonous place to be. Do not do that to yourself.

As far as your inability to eat (I saw your other thread on this), I can understand. When I am on my low-calorie days, it is easy to lose my appetite. If I start skipping meals, I know it’s time to change gears (into maintenance mode). I have to force myself to eat, but my appetite eventually kicks in. I’ll eat small portions because I can’t handle much at that point, but I’ll eat more frequently. I’ve also noticed that when I’m doing heavy-duty fieldwork, my appetite really increases in response to all the calories I’m burning.

Tatertot: You’re on, get-fit buddy! If pool chemicals bother you, are there any pools in your area that are saltwater? I’ve noticed that this is becoming more popular where I live. I haven’t tried one yet, but I’d like to, since I hate the nasty chlorine smell that seems to stay in your hair even after you’ve washed it. I have really sensitive skin, and pool chemicals don’t exactly make my skin feel fantatisic, either.

Chris, you aren’t disgusting and perhaps you should have noted that I did not post my statistics for a very good reason. Just get out and walk about 20 minutes.

For the record, I am eating grapes now. I think I’ve done about a kilo, so far… but that stuff is all water, right?

Spend the Saturday evening at a friends, and drank a few mineral waters.

Oh, and another thing? Can I be excused from dieting and working out during DubDope2000? I mean, I really have to get a break then. Cuz the Irish will beat me up if I don’t drink more than 16 pints of Guinness per night.

Grapes are fine. You should be able to eat as much of them as you want, especially the red ones. They’re kind of like . . . Nature’s laxatives! :slight_smile:

Don’t talk that way! Beat the crap out of that negative little voice that says that kind of stuff. I know it’s tough, because I’ve been there. My top weight was 215, and at 5’5", this was not a particularly good look for me. Here’s the pics to prove it.

Depending on how much pop you drink, just cutting out the sugar may help you a lot. If you can’t stand Aspartame, try finding some of the newer formulas sweetened with Splenda aka Sucralose. Diet Rite uses Splenda in their new formula, and it doesn’t have the aftertaste that a lot of people notice with Aspartame.
