Despite a light turnout, there was plenty o’ rudeness, plenty o’ grimness. For much of the night, the river was very, very good to Yeti, but it carried him under in the end. And the mighty Duck floated safely to victory.
x-ray, nesta, MissTake, DagOtto, Octopus, and Nanook were sorely missed and their absence was remarked upon with regret. Hope we’ll see more of you next week!

We’ve had so much baby-daddy drama in my house for the past few days that it’s a freakin’ miracle that I’m still (relatively) sane. I wish I’da made it!
It was kinda funny… “Vince” and “Mike” got to square off on each other for the first time in forever. I tried to donate enough chips to Aholibah to keep her in the running, but she just gave 'em to Yeti. That girl has my number, skeeery I tells ya.
Trivia note: Vince is Shanna’s real life BIL (Shanna is married to his brother).
I was at pokertropolis but I couldn’t find the game.
It’s under “Tournaments”, but I think you have to have tour PT username and ID number entered into the system for it to show up.
X-Ray is snowed under and Aholibah set the tourney up last night. Whoever sets the tourney up will need your PT info, but I think after you are put “on the list” you are good to go in that tourney from now on.
Sorry you missed out, we were short handed as it was. Maybe Aholibah will take some of the load off X until he can get caught up, get with her and get set up for next week.

Hey, I wanted to say thanks to Duke of Rat for hanging around and watching me play in the limit game. It went well for a while, but ended up almost totally melting down. It’s amazing how many full houses those guys get 
I’m playing in a little $30 tourney locally today. Should be about 20 people. Wish me luck. You guys, better than anybody else, know I’ll need it.
Woot!!! I won the second tourney today! 
I finished fourth out of twenty in the first tourney more via patience than any good cards or good play.
But then, the mojo was working in the second tourney (18 people). I took a page out of Nanook’s book and almost never called. Raise. Raise. Raise (if you have something). And I’m thinking the Duck was with me too because a major suck out is what put me over the top. 5 people left, I’m probably 2nd stack. Through some horrible playing while sitting in the big blind, I find myself overly invested in the pot with 26. I’m up against a sizeable 4th stack with a board that was something like 78T3. 4th stacks been a pretty wimpy player through both tourneys and hadn’t made any raises at all on this hand…so against all logic and common sense I put him all in. And he freaking pushes in just like he should have. I never expected that in a million years. So we flip over and he’s got Q7 so my only prayer is a nine…and viola!!! Suck out of suck outs. I should have been taken out and shot for that hand but instead it netted me a pretty sweet $220.
Third tourney (10 people)…I went out an early eighth.

Was it 3 separate tourneys, or the top few finishers in the early tourneys advance to the next round?
