How 'bout those results from last week guys? :smack: I’m looking everywhere.
I went out in 7th again. Only one person went out before me, we had 8 players.
Well, last night I signed onto an 8pm PDT 5+.50 Limit Hold’em Tournament and did pretty well. Out of 42 entrants, I came in 13th, out of the money, but I played pretty well except when I got sucked in with marginal hands when I was the BB and SB. That’s when I gave away my chips…another lesson learned. AGAIN, the person the took me out won the tournament. On the last hand, he out-kicked me on two-pair of Aces and 7s…his 9 to my 8. ARGH.
Duke or x-ray…If you have a spare $20 to $40 to transfer, I’ll gladly write a check and mail it. I’m good for tonight, so don’t worry about it today. I’ve done a couple of those 5+.50 tournaments and couple .99 cent tourneys (when I get home early enough), and I enjoy playing those, win or lose. I had a blast when the 4 of us got into that .99 tourney a few nights ago.
Oh, and the Goggles of Amber Bock with the +3 attributes will be equipped tonight.
Wow, I play on Pokertroplis almost every night as SYNW. Love the 99 cent tournaments. I made 4 final tables in a row at one stretch but lately have not been so lucky. One one outright. Thrusday nights I like playing in the Bicycle Satellite tournament. What’s this SDMB thing?

It’s just a fun thing for SDMB bragging rights (some of us ain’t been doing much bragging). Super low entry fee private tournament, but it’s run like any other tourney. You won’t get rich (in fact at 10 players you’ll lose a dime even if you finish first), but you get to talk smack for a week here!
I’ve been eyeballing the Bicycle Tourney, but mere money can’t compete with besting these guys.

GO, go to tournaments and enter the SDMB Private Tournament. The game starts at 10pm EDT, (7pm PDT). We also do our side commentary on AIM. Get it if you don’t have it. I know that it interferes with the Bicycle Satellite tournament though cause I was thinking of joining that tournament, but then realized they interfere…wait a minute…can you play two tournaments at once? :dubious:

I finally cave to the temptation to play a little extracurricular after the game. Go into a .25-.50 limit table, give myself five bucks to play with. Within about two or three minutes, I’m up to seven bucks. Should have just stopped then. But no, keep playing, keep getting screwed.
And then, I have a buck seventy left, and my hand comes up. Kc and some other club, the flop gives me two more clubs, turn gives the fifth (and river gives a sixth), so over the course of the hand, I put that whole $1.70 in against the one other player left by the end of the flop. I figure I’m pretty close to nut, he probably doesn’t have the Ac. Unfortunately, what he does have is the cards to catch a futhermucking STRAIGHT FLUSH on the river. Bastard. Bastard. Bastard.
