Florida has now learned they need to attract innovation-based industries and not rely almost exclusively on tourism and migration. Things like Scripps Institute in SE Fla., Jackson Labs possibly in Naples area, a new USF polytechnic campus in Lakeland, and high speed rail construction will help create a more stable economy and shore up the housing market.
