You mean you don’t think it’s the CI gangbanger that kept asking her out? I figured that the way the writers on the Shield keep bringing up these types of issues, that it would be fitting to see the Barn’s reaction to a multi-racial baby by one of their officers.

Anyways, re: Forest. Give him time people. I remember being somewhat dubious on Glenn Close’s first episode as well. I thought she was playing it a little campy (Glenn Close campy? Surely you jest! 
“GET ME THOSE PUPPIES!!!”) At the end, though, I was bummed to see her go.
I think ol’ Forest will turn out to be pretty interesting. He’s already proving up to be fairly manipulative in his pursuit of Vic. This was evident in the scene with Vic’s wife where he pretended to have an autistic kid.
Also slightly off-topic - F@#$&#(@#&*%( Tivo!!! Why? Oh Why FX? Why do you insist on ending the Shield several minutes after the Tivo scheduler? Yes, I know that I can adjust to record for several more minutes, but I always freaking forget to! Please - cut out all the “FX is great! Look at our great programming!” commercials and make the damn thing end on time.

My Cablevision DVR box knew to record until 11:08, but I was watching realtime anyway. The best stuff always happens in those last few minutes.
We have TiVo, and it automatically picked up the whole hour and ten minutes.
The way the writers are I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually has an autistic kid.
Yeah, my TiVo recorded it until 11:08 (EST), too, but this was the first time it didn’t cut off the last two minutes.
I have cable internet and I get local channels for free. Right now my cable company has decided I should get basic extended cable… it has happened before and they usually fix it within a day or two… So far it’s been holding on for 4 days… I was praying it would hold out until atleast the Shield ended last night… my prayers were answered.
What an amazing season premiere.
I love Forest Whitaker, he is creepy and unsettling just like I would want an IAD guy to be.
Making the spineless guy the Captain was a really strong move for the season. We don’t need to see Vic butting heads with a captain. That’s not what the season is going to be about. Capt Spineless contrasts wonderfully with Vic. Vic would make an excellent Captain but for obvious reasons would never take or be offered the job. You can really feel Glen Close’s character effect on him eventhough he is still brutal and crooked.
No one has said anything about Julian’s new partner… Sweet lord that’s the most gorgeous cop I have ever seen.
I predict the baby is Vic’s and the Danni dies this season before or just after she give birth.
