That was my thought too. I miss Lionel Hutz and especially Troy McClure so much!
I will never stop watching the Simpsons as long as they live in syndication (and they will probably outlive me).

No kidding. Although the Simpson’s themselves have neatly lampoon posts like the OP with the Comic Book Guy character. Everytime I see I whiny poster like this I think of the CBG trying to return his medium “ultimate” belt. You will notice that the same people who complain about the Simpsons seem to watch it every week.
Further, most of the fans of the show have thought this season with the new writers was pretty strong.
“I made my choice” Heh heh heh. . .

Ummmmm…because people need money to survive in this world? Just a guess.
Who says we don’t?
Worst. comeback. ever.
Yes. I used to be among those who was pissed off about the Simpsons deteriorating, but I think that on a second viewing, a lot of supposedly bad episodes turn out a lot better. And well, it’s The Simpsons…No matter how bad it is, something is worse than nothing.
Incidentally I sort of missed the ending…I know it was a game show, and Carmen Electra was the old lady…but the cops weren’t in on it? And what was that about her ears?
Anybody tape it? I didn’t bother checking to see what time it was on this week, since it’s been at 8:00 for freaking ever, and missed it.
I agree with Zoggie. Most of the episodes I have been dissapointed with turn out to be hillarious when I watch them in syndication. There is just so much I miss the first time. If you don’t like the show, that is OK. I personally think the show is better than ever right now. I do wish they could come up with another couple of characters to replace the ones Phil Hartmen did. Phil is just too good to replace adequately.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh wait, was somone saying something. No, I guess it was just the wind.
Now, after looking back on my original post and then looking at your “paraphrase” of it, what came to mind was backl during Watergate, when Nixon released “editied transcripts” of his tapes, and then when the actual tapes themselves were released the American people as a whole said of the “edited” bits, “What the fuck is this shit? this doesn’t have any relation to the tapes at all.”
In simpler terms, if I didn’t have interviews to go to and 12 hour car drives to make I would gladly see about hitting you with a libel/slander suit, but only if I was in a really pissy mood.
Which, fortunately for you I’m not.
Considering what I’ve had to go through over the past 2 1/2 years, NOTHING you could say could make me go “boo-hoo” or even make me think of wanting to cry.
But better luck next time.
Nevertheless, it remains funnier than anything else on TV. And at least one-third of every Hallowe’en episode is pure gold.
MmmHEY!
