Voters will choose another Southern president today, Gore or Bush Jr. That’s the forth term in a row for a Southerner. All the presidents elected since Kennedy have been from the South (LBJ, Carter, Bush, Clinton, Gore/Bush) or S. California (Nixon, Reagan). The South has risen again, y’all. Who wants some grits?
Ummm…not according to:

You think Southern California is part of “The South”? Good grief! Besides, Reagan was born in Iowa.
Yeah, calling SoCal part of the South is like calling Chico part of the Midwest.

Close, but no cigar; Reagan was born in Illinois, but started his illustrious career in Iowa working for radio stations WOC and WHO.
Jab1, oldscratch, look at BC’s first post a bit more closely. He said that all of the last seven presidents have been from the South or S. California. It’s a bit ambiguous, but I don’t think it includes S. California as part of “the South.”
Fuck you, you expect to actually go and read other people posts. Sure, like I’m going to start doing that any time soon  I’ll just take your word on it.
JK, true, but he does say SoCal, then mention that the South has risen again. That seems to imply that SoCal is part of some sort of Southern Rising, other wise why would he include it?
Bush Sr. was born in Massachusetts, and raised in Connecticut. His credentials as a Texan were pretty thin, and he has lived in Maine since leaving office.
Dammit, who left the door unlocked? Well, no matter, I’ve got my cattle prod around here somewhere …
Sua
Bush Sr has already been discussed.
AlGore was raised in DC, merely born in Tenn.
Bush Jr I’m not sure about, Mostly Maine?
Clinton is unfortunately from the South.
Carter is from the South.
Regan was born in Illinois.
LBJ was a real live Texan. I believe.
Ford was from Michigan, and I’ve forgotten about Nixon.
And as for the South rising again…
