The Southwestern Carniverous Mouse

No, it’s name aint Mickey.

A few months ago, I was watching a program on the Discovery Channel on an animal that I had never heard of before–the Carniverous Mouse.

It hunts insects, tarantulas & even other mice! It even howels just like a wolf, only quieter & higher pitched.

I’ve checked my local library, a university library & “all around the town”.

I need book & Web references.

Anybody got any ideas?

wheel; in which two gerbils, Vanity and Credulity
by name, tussle fruitlessly over the walnut that
represents your banal & pointless existance.”

Check out the Grasshopper Mouse. Actually several species in genus Onychomys. Nasty rodent, got a mean streak a mile wide…

Does a Brooklyn Wharf Rat count as a mouse?
Peace,
