What in the world happens to the Senators in the playoffs. It’s like they completely forget how to play!!!
I don’t have a favorite for the playoff’s. But I do have a LEAST favorite. coDETROITugh.
I don’t live in an NHL city, so I find out who has players from the Major Junior team in town and root for their teams. (There are lots this year. FYI Major Junior is high level hockey aged 16-20. Fun stuff)
So this year… I get to root for…
Buffalo-- because they drafted one of the guys who’s on our team this year. (Remember the name Paul Gaustad Buffalo fans. And remember in three years that you heard it here first.) Washington has Konawalchuk and Zednik. But I’ll go with Pittsburgh because Andy Ferrence rules! Nobody in Carolina/New Jersey. And I can no longer root for Hossa on the Senators. <sob>
Out west, Brendan Morrow from Dallas, baby! (Josh Green was on the same team as Morrow for a bit. But Green moved up to LA.)
Nobody in San Jose/St. Louis. Then my personal favorite, DEADMARSH BABY! GO KINGS!
Actually I just like watching good hockey. And thought I’d take this time to brag about how good my Jr. Hockey team does at churning out quality NHL Players.
The NHL Playoff’s are the greatest in the world! This sport kicks ass!
Gotta love it when someone gripes that a hockey team is being too physical.
Isn’t the physical nature of the game what helps make it the last true sport? Don’t teams go out of their way to draft big tough players so they can dominate physically?
