Is Sergei Kostitsyn the next Gretzky in Nashville or something? TSN is airing what seems to be a Nashville feed for the NSH-ANA series, and the cameramen seem to spend a lot of time focusing on Sergei. I know he has 20+ goals- and I wish he could have gotten his head out of his ass while he was still in Montreal - but I’m wondering if it’s just my familiarity bias, or if these announcers are really focusing on him this much?
Well, he was tied for the team lead in scoring this year, so after Rinne and Weber, they might as well focus on him as anybody else.
Kostitsyn the Elder had a better season without him around, too. I still don’t know if I want to qualify him at three and a quarter. I think I’d try to get him cheaper as a UFA, or failing that, just move on and get somebody else.
Keep Brother Andrei. Dunno why, but I love watching him play, and if he goes elsewhere, I’m convinced he’d come back to destroy us. Either that, or fall asleep on the ice. It’s 50/50 but that’s how he is now! I’d offer him the same or similar contract, he’s really stepped it up the past few months. I wonder if there’s anything to the speculation that he was struggling with a change in his epilepsy medication early this season? He really looked downright lethargic for a while. AK46: so much talent, so little brains. Pouliot: so much talent, can’t skate worth a shit. Dump Poolio and keep AK, IMHO.
It’s going to be interesting on the D: Markov and Gorges (I’m sure the latter will return, will Markov be coming back? I hope so!) but also the possibility of resigning Wiskneiwski, Hamrlik, Sopel, Gill (please, please, please, please keep Gill) and I’m too drunk to remember the status of everyone else, but there is potential for a deep defense next year.

Apparently my husband and I made the news; we got interviewed by a local TV channel while at the restaurant in our Habs jerseys! His aunt messaged us on Facebook because they recognized us! This was such an awesome night - we were there with a bunch of Torontonians and right next to a table of Booinz fans, and the energy in the place was insane!! My voice is gone!
