I’ve read in a few places about how members of the Senate floor staff rescued the boxes containing the electoral votes. I can’t imagine the technical difficulties of certifying the votes if the mob had seized or destroyed these documents. Do we know the names of the staff who prevented this from happening? They need to be honored.
There are other copies but yeah, to take time to rescue documents vital to the democratic process when your life might be in danger is commendable.
