Yeah, you heard me. I am responding to the new rule in Great Debates as posted in the sticky in that forum.

I am appalled - appalled! - that The Straight Dope Message Boards would endorse such blatant homophobia. As a gay man, and as a somewhat effeminate one at that, I consider it a deity-of-your-choice-given right to be able to flame whenever I choose. If a Barbra Streisand lyric should come to mind as an appropriate response to the OP, I will damn well post it. If I want to start a thread about the pros and cons of stiletto heels while performing a drag show, I don’t see what the problem is. And I don’t understand how anyone could systematically disagree with finding a medically sound way to fix carpal tunnel syndrome from limp wrists.

I remain shocked at this frightening turn of events. Won’t someone please think of the children?!?!

So, Esprix, you’re complaining about flaming not being allowed on the Straight Dope message board? Sounds like it’s more than the rules that are blatantly homophobic. And yet almost everyone here is labeled a “member”. Freud would love this place.
