The strange concept of eternal hell suffering.

I can give my views, I can give the sites, but I cannot give understanding of them.

Who says we aren’t still evolving? Where did you get that from?

You can quote the part of that interview that you think provides the evidence you think backs up your assertion, can’t you?

I say were still evolving consciously;

Heres another site on fossils;

OK, this is getting out of hand.

Mickiel, I am not yet locking this thread. But you need to post substantive debate in your next few posts or I will consider this thread to have no further purpose and close it.

Further, if you continue your extremely limited approach to debate your posting privileges will be called into question. I want you to succeed and thrive here. I want you to believe that. But you must grow into a real debater if you’re going to post in Great Debates.

No.
Where did you get the idea that we have stopped evolving physically?

Close it. In fact I am tired of you claiming I don’t know how to debate, and I am done with the thread myself.

Would you mind telling us first where you got the ideas that we no longer evolve physically?

No, I am finished man, I am tired of these moderator insults; I am not posting any more.

Peace.

He Walks Alone.

Now…are there any arguments that there isn’t any “Hell” in Christianity that doesn’t involve demons inserting the term into the Bible?

I can’t guess what our correspondent will say, but this is actually a fairly commonplace idea in some areas. The idea is that now that we have medical science, and a civilization that does things like feed people while they’re sick, the harshest edge of survival has been taken off of the evolutionary process.

It’s wrong, in at least two ways…

One, it simply puts all the more emphasis on sexual selection. If we aren’t evolving for sheer survival, then we’re evolving to look sexier.

And, two, there is some actual physical evidence (Scientific American) that human skull bones are growing thinner, because we don’t need all that defense, because, frankly, we aren’t getting bonked on the head as much these days! We’ve evolving a lighter skull because civilization is (astonishingly!) actually civilized.

But…it is an idea that has been around for a good while: “Medical arts end evolution.”

(The link doesn’t actually support the notion, but enters into a discussion of it.)

Your proposal is accepted.
