In what ways is the generation that followed yours superior?
They’re younger. That’s about it. And I don’t think it’s so much as “superior” as “lucky”.
They are able to put all the baby boomer baggage that dominated public and cultural life of America for so long. No baby boomer president, baby boomers off to retirement, now we can get on with the future and stop talking about the past.
I don’t think there really is one yet.
They’re basically all in diapers right now, so being potty-trained is about the best thing they’ve got going for them.
They’re overall way more techno-savvy than my generation.
The generation following mine was certainly more savvy politically. My generation thought that you could change the system by dropping out of it-the one following mine jumped into the system with both feet and tried their damnedest. While I don’t agree with all of their goals, I certainly can’t criticize their hard work and determination.
They’re quite a bit cuter, though that’s probably because they’re all under the age of 5.
I’m 35. I have to say that many of the teenagers I know are far more clueful and determined than my friends and I were at that age. If they keep going the way they are, they will be a very impressive bunch.
They seem good @ teh txting
My kid has been trained to be very organized. She’s been using a day planner book (supplied by her public schools) since the 4th grade. She’s now in 7th grade and uses it quite well. All the kids in this town have been taught about time management.
I wish I’d had those advantages.
