The Sunset Limited

Any one seen this?

I saw the first part. I fell asleep. It was kinda like watching a tennis match without the short skirts.

I thought it was fascinating. And I’m not a fan of Cormac McCarthy’s prose, so that kind of surprised me - but I’d read a little bit about it beforehand, and was intrigued by the concept of those two actors (Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones) going head-to-head in such a confined space (both of them raved about the opportunity).

I loved the way Jones delivered his lines, not just the big dramatic speech at the end, but the world-weary, almost deadpan, absolutely *convinced *aspect of his reading. Jackson was just as convinced in his own point of view, of course, and just as good at his delivery.

Also found it very realistic that neither manages to convince the other.
