The SWOhPWWAWTCEC Weekened Event

Yup, The South Western Ohio People Who Walk Around (in the) Woods, Then Carouse (in the) Evening Club has a big Event this weekend.

Maybe we should work on a new name for that club. Since, so far it’s just my brother and me (and his dog and sometimes, but not always, my brother in law), we can call it anything we want. Like “Bert” or “Bob” or “Emily”.

Anyway, we’re heading off to Tar Hollow this weekend. If you have some time and want to join the SWOhPWWAWTCEC, you can come too.

After walking around in the woods all day, you still have energy to carouse in the evening? You rugged outdoorsy-types get me all swoon-y!! Makes me wish I was a South Western Ohio person instead of a North Eastern Floridian…

Sounds like fun, with or without doggies. I’m looking forward to your Monday morning tale of carousing and stuff.

When’s the strong event?

[sup]I apologize profusely, I can’t help it, it’s like a disease but not one of the icky ones.[/sup]

Is it just for the evening or overnight? I might be able to make just for the evening, a little more hesitant on overnight. Also, there’s rain a’comin’ through Saturday morning, so it could get a bit squishy out there. And use lots of bugspray, plenty of skeeters out this evening.

There having “Heritage Days” at the Blue Ash nature park on October 12. If Soupo or Katcha ever wanted to whitewash a picket fence, this is their event. Very kid friendly AND free. I think they even have barnyard aminals and live music. 12-8 or so, but some of the stuff closes a touch early, so I’d suggest not to wait until late. It’s kind of walking around the woods on a very small scale.

If you end up getting hopelessly, horribly lost (which may happen, depending on how much carousing you actually do), and wind up in central Virginia, stop by my dorm and I’ll make you all some oatmeal or something.

I should come back in here and reply all wittily to things. Say things like:
Oh yeah, Snickers, all manly and stuff. We stride along purposefully with a glint in our eye, racking up mile after mile. That would be about two miles, so I guess that’s about right. Then we see if we can spot any turtles. Maybe have some trail mix. Check the map to see if we’re still on it. Wander around a little more. Hopefully get back to camp in time to slap some dinner together.

Then drink something. It’s very important to stay hydrated, you know.

It’s rougher to go to the mall a week before Christmas. (And you can;t take your dog to the mall.)

Huh? What dwyr? Oh! the typo! Thanks for calling thatto my attention. Is my face red!

Of course I meant: Weékinéd

Yeah, that’s a colloquial word that means the days between Friday and Monday. I forgot the little hashy things above the “e”-s. Silly, silly me.

(Ooo! And I’ll get youone day too, lady!)

“Heritage Days”? That sounds like fun Shibb. If they have funnel cakes. What’s “Heritage Days” without funnel cakes?

You know, it was the funnel cake that got many a settler through those harsh first winters in Blue Ash. Really. It’s a fact. You could look it up in the library.

And it’s an overnight thing this weékinéd. Tar Hollow is about 3 hours away, so it didn’t seem like a good idea to make it just a day-trip. And you can’t drive after you carouse. That’s a rule.

Yeah Jester, we’ll just follow the flies and the smell of boat shoes right to your dorm. It sounds a treat.
But I won’t. Sorry.
